This policy explains what information secret-santa-generator.org (“we”, “us”) collects and how it is used. The short version: we don’t collect the names, matches or messages you enter into our tools.

Information you enter into the tools

Participant names, exclusions, budgets, dates and messages are processed in your browser. They are saved in your browser’s local storage so you don’t lose your draft, and you can clear them at any time by clearing your browser data for this site.

Private reveal links contain the match inside the URL fragment (the part after #). Browsers do not send the fragment to our server, so we never receive it. Anyone who has a link can open it, so share each link only with the person it belongs to.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit the site and which pages are useful. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as your approximate location, device, browser and the pages you visit. It does not receive the names or matches you enter. Advertising

We may show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalized ads are shown.

Server logs

Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may process technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the website. This data is not used to identify you.

Children

The site is designed for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can clear saved drafts by clearing this site’s data. For any privacy question, contact us.
